Daniel Quisenberry
Born in Camp Pendelton, California, Daniel Quisenberry graduated summa cum laude from the University of California San Diego in 1990 and from the U.C.L.A. School of Law in 1994. Prior to joining the firm, Daniel Quisenberry was a litigation associate with Kirkland & Packard LLP, specializing in the areas of construction defect defense, broker liability and intellectual property and complex business litigation. Daniel’s current practice emphasizes the litigation of complex business and contract matters, including real estate related issues and litigation involving copyrights, trademarks, unfair competition, directors’ and officers’ liability, and shareholder and partnership disputes. Daniel Quisenberry also represents artists, management, and industry in various entertainment transactions and establishes and protects copyrights and trademarks.
Daniel has successfully represented clients (both plaintiffs and defendants) in litigation regarding commercial lease disputes and real property purchase, sale, and exchange transactions. He has represented developers, real estate investors, brokers, and buyers and sellers of real estate in state and federal courts. He has also represented clients with regard to claims and adversarial complaints in the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Douglas Ridley
Douglas Ridley is a founding partner and head of the firm’s Film and TV Entertainment Law division. Prior to founding QRS, Mr. Ridley was a prosecutor in the Ventura County District Attorney’s office for five and a half years. As a prosecutor, he reviewed thousands of cases including involving DUI, vehicular manslaughter, traffic investigation, assault and battery, narcotics, gangs, and sexual assault. His keen eye for reviewing cases comes from a thorough understanding of the elements of offenses as well as a unique insight into what a jury loves to hear.
Mr. Ridley graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1998 with a focus on Trial Advocacy, earning awards for his exceptional trial skills. He passed the bar exam on his first attempt and was admitted to practice law in California in December of 1998. He also earned a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s world renown Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Ridley earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University Fullerton in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Cal State Fullerton in 1995.
Mr. Ridley is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Entertainment Section and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. He is on their panel of attorneys for their Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Doug is heavily involved in the business community and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. He is on the Board of Directors of the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, and was awarded the 2006 Business Person of the Year award from that Chamber. He is the founding President of the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club.
Randall Shiffman
Randall Shiffman is a litigation attorney specializing in the areas of serious personal injury, homeowner association law, construction defects, real property and business disputes. Born in Los Angeles, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Option in Finance in 1981, and a law degree from Whittier College School of Law in 1986. He has extensive litigation and trial experience in his fifteen years of practicing law. For the past eight years, Randall has been general counsel to a local development stage medical products company, providing multi-faceted legal services such as contract negotiations for national and international cooperative research agreements, licensing, distribution and sales agreements, as well as handling the various internal legal issues involved with a start-up medical products corporation.
